Building futures
Since my childhood, I have learned to thrive and enjoy environments in which I am far from being the best. When I lived in a Shaolin monastery at age ten, I had just started Kung Fu while others had started at age two. In that environment, I was able to teach others English while they taught me how to heal bruises and meditate. Having endured nine-hour training sessions, seven days a week, I realized the true power and value of a strong group and community. I also learned the value of listening to your body, monitoring your health, and taking action to strengthen it.
